Atmosphere and wind models: the US Standard Atmosphere 1976, ISA offsets, custom soundings, wind profiles and turbulence.
Guide: Atmosphere, Wind and Turbulence: the models, their sources, how well they are validated and what they leave out.
ussa76: the 1976 standard from −5 to 86 km, with temperature offsets and launch-site anchoring.moist: saturation vapour pressure and humid-air density and speed of sound.profile: atmospheres from soundings and forecasts, and WMO geopotential heights.wind: constant, power-law, logarithmic and layered mean winds.dryden: seeded Dryden turbulence.
Every model is queried with geometric height above mean sea level; the flight engine converts from its ellipsoidal heights first. Samples report whether a model extrapolated.

Modules§
- air
- The state of the air at a point, and the
Atmospheretrait every atmosphere model implements. - dryden
- Seeded Dryden turbulence: the spectra, MIL-F-8785C parameters, a generator that is exact for any step length, and a precomputed gust field.
- error
- Error types for the atmosphere and wind models.
- moist
- Moist air: saturation vapour pressure, and the density and speed of sound of humid air.
- profile
- Custom atmospheres from soundings or forecasts: temperature, pressure, humidity and wind at levels, interpolated in height, with the offset standard atmosphere beyond them.
- ussa76
- The U.S. Standard Atmosphere, 1976, from −5 km to 86 km geometric altitude, with an optional temperature offset and sea-level pressure.
- wind
- Mean wind models: constant, power law, logarithmic law and tabulated layers.
