Variants (Non-exhaustive)

TangentCone

As the method starts at a pointed vertex: the flow on the cone tangent to the body at the handover, that cone’s loading and no pressure gradient (TN 3527 sketch (a), p. 6). hpr’s choice, and what a flight takes.

Newtonian

TN D-4865’s own: the Newtonian pressure and Mach number there (eqs. 1 and 2), the total pressure behind the normal shock and no gradient, with the loading of a handover fixed in the wind (crate::blunt_tip::handover_loading). Kept to compare: on the Arcas Robin’s nose the march then fails from Mach 3.96.
