BodyModel

Struct BodyModel

Source
#[non_exhaustive]
pub struct BodyModel { pub body_lift: BodyLift, pub supersonic_boattail: SupersonicBoattail, pub supersonic_flare: SupersonicFlare, }
Expand description

The choices in the bodies’ normal-force model (AeroModel::with_body_model). The default is hpr’s current model, BodyModel::CURRENT; BodyModel::BEFORE_M1_8E6 reproduces earlier results. Change one choice with BodyModel::with_body_lift, BodyModel::with_supersonic_boattail or BodyModel::with_supersonic_flare. In JSON, for example {"body_lift": {"kind": "galejs", "k": 1.1}, "supersonic_boattail": "footnote8"}; a missing field takes the current choice.

Fields (Non-exhaustive)§

This struct is marked as non-exhaustive
Non-exhaustive structs could have additional fields added in future. Therefore, non-exhaustive structs cannot be constructed in external crates using the traditional Struct { .. } syntax; cannot be matched against without a wildcard ..; and struct update syntax will not work.
§body_lift: BodyLift

How body lift is sized.

§supersonic_boattail: SupersonicBoattail

How a boattail takes its share faster than sound.

§supersonic_flare: SupersonicFlare

How a flare takes its share faster than sound.

Implementations§

Source§

impl BodyModel

Source

pub const CURRENT: Self

hpr’s current body model: Jorgensen’s body lift, Washington and Pettis’s boattail and a marched flare.

Source

pub const BEFORE_M1_8E6: Self

hpr’s body model before M1.8e6 sized body lift and the boattail: Galejs’s K = 1.1, TN 3527 footnote 8’s boattail, and a flare that ends the method’s run rather than flying it (SupersonicFlare::SlenderBody, as before M1.8e17).

Source

pub const fn with_body_lift(self, body_lift: BodyLift) -> Self

This model with body lift sized by body_lift.

Source

pub const fn with_supersonic_boattail( self, supersonic_boattail: SupersonicBoattail, ) -> Self

This model with a supersonic boattail’s share by supersonic_boattail.

Source

pub const fn with_supersonic_flare( self, supersonic_flare: SupersonicFlare, ) -> Self

This model with a supersonic flare’s share by supersonic_flare.
